<![CDATA[<p>First Night Springfield is your ticket to fun!</p>

<p>On Friday, December 31, 2004, a First Night Springfield sticker is your ticket to an evening of indoor family fun for all ages as we welcome 2005 with music, theater, storytelling, dancing, magic, comedy and much more. Join the community-wide, alcohol-free New Year's Eve family celebration, in its 15th year.</p>

<p>Evening activities run from 7-11:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks grand finale at midnight in Jordan Valley Park. Admission to all evening indoor sites is just $7.00. Family 4-packs are $25. Children three and younger are free. The Creamery Arts Center opens early at 5:30 p.m., featuring make-and-take hands-on art activities--New Year's Eve hats, noisemakers, masks and calendars.</p>

<p>Shuttles are provided free of charge to First Night attendees.</p>

<p>With a sticker (ticket), people are able to visit a variety of performances throughout the evening, over 35 in all. Family-oriented entertainment includes a full production of "Suessical the Musical" at Central High School; a "Tribute to Houdini" escape, magic and illusion act at the Landers Theatre; bands, bowling, giveaways, free food and fun at the new First Baptist Church "teen" venue; rock climbing and inflatables at the Springfield Family YMCA; big band dance music at the Kentwood Crystal Room; ice skating at Jordan Valley Ice Park and much more.</p>

<p>In addition, a First Night sticker is your ticket to continued savings during the month of January. Purchase an admission sticker and receive over $50.00 in coupons and discounts for downtown services and attractions. Sponsored by the Downtown Springfield Community Improvement District.</p>
