There’s nothing quite like summer in downtown Springfield, MO. Movie Night at Founders Park

When: Every Friday & Saturday night during June & July, 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Who: Anyone Who Loves a Good Movie

Why: Free movie night under the stars. Need we say more? Movie Night at Founders Park is perfect for a free date night or family outing! 

Live Music Fridays at Frank n’ Steins

When: Every Friday night, 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Where: Frank ‘n’ Steins

Who: Hot Dog Eaters and Listeners of Music

How (much): FREE

Why: Kick back, relax, and enjoy a gourmet hotdog and rad local music. While admission is free, we highly encourage you to expand your palette and try the Bite Club. Your taste buds will thank you! Oh, and if you’re a herbivore, they’ve got plenty of Vegan options available! 

First Friday Art Walk

When: First Friday of every month, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Where:  Art Walk venues all across Downtown Springfield 

Who: Springfieldians Who Love to Walk and Peruse Local Art

How (much): FREE

Why: To celebrate the art and creativity of your fellow 417-landers! Walk around, look at art, grab a bite at a downtown restaurant, look at art, artfully sip on a cappuccino at The Coffee Ethic, look at art, go forth, and be inspired. 

9th Annual Birthplace of Route 66 Festival & Car Show

When: August 9-10, 7:00 am – 11:00 pm 

Where: All around downtown Springfield & Historic Route 66 

Who: Route 66 Fanatics, Car Enthusiasts, & Festival Goers

How (much): FREE

Why: Because Springfield is the birthplace of Route 66 and that’s pretty cool! South Street will be lined with vintage & classic cars as far as the eye can see, food trucks will be in abundance, and there will be plenty to see and do! Make sure to check it out!

Trivia at Best of Luck 

When: First Wednesday of every month, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Where: Best of Luck Beer Hall

Who: Trivia Buffs & Local Beer Lovers
